“ABOUT THE ARTIST”
Gale Connor is the artist and owner of The Glass Gal Studio. Gale started her stained glass adventure about 19 years ago when a friend introduced her to the craft. For a number of years Gale and her best friend, Linda McKenna produced works of art that they sold at Tillsonburg’s Down Home Country Christmas craft sale. They were soon known as “The Glass Gals”. With the passing of Linda, Gale became a solo “Glass Gal” and she has continued with the Down Home Country Christmas sale.
Gale artistic talent has grown over the years. Gale has created commissioned works of various designs based on the wishes and visions of her clients. Gale greatly enjoys this detailed process. For her, this is part of the passion of her art.
Gale has been honoured to have been asked to create works of art for the Heath’s Apartments’ front lobby, Woodingford Lodge Tillsonburg’s Chapel/Meeting Room AND Dining Rooms and Woodingford Lodge Ingersoll’s Chapel/Meeting Room.
“ABOUT THE STUDIO”
The Glass Gal Studio (the Studio) has been in existence since 2004. Now that Color Your World has closed, the studio has been relocated to Gale’s personal residence. Beginner Class I and II are being offered beginning November, 2010. Classes may become available for those with stained glass experience on an “as needs” basis or as our students who have taken Beginner I & II move ahead in their stained glass experience. See the “Events” tab for more information. Also, Gale’s inventory has moved to The Station Arts Centre, 41 Bridge St. W., Tillsonburg, Ontario (519-842-6151).
