Day-time and evening classes will be available (minimum class size of 4 people a must for classes to run.  Maximum number is 6 people.  Small class size allows for one-on-one attention allowing the student to learn more effectively)

Day-time classes:  Mondays  -  9 am – Noon     OR   1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Evening Classes: Thursdays  6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Other days or nights may be offered if warranted.

BEGINNER I – this is for someone new to this art form.  

Registration is made through the Station Arts Centre (see information below)

Cost is $80.00 for members, $90 for non-members

No extra costs – tools are provided for your use and materials supplied are included in cost.

You will attend 3 Classes of 3 hours held on consecutive class days (ie:  3 Monday afternoons)

You will construct 3 suncatcher stained glass pieces.  Choice of several patterns will be available to you.

BEGINNER II – this is for someone who has completed Beginner I OR someone returning to the stained glass hobby.  If you are returning, a discussion with Gale is required prior to registration.

Registration is made through the Station Arts Centre (see information below)

Cost is $80.00 for members, $90 for non-members.

You will construct a panel, 8 ½” X 11” in size.  You will choose from 1 of the 4 patterns available to you.  A materials fee of $20.00 applies for the “glass kit” for your pattern choice.

Tools will be provided for your use.  

You will attend 3 Classes of 3 hours held on consecutive class days (ie:  3 Monday afternoons)

 

Beyond Basics – this is for someone who has completed Beginner I AND II courses OR has enough recent experience to qualify for this level of class.  This person must have approval from Gale before registering.

Registration is made through the Station Arts Centre (see information below)

Cost is $80.00 for members, $90 for non-members.

For this class, you will choose your own pattern (with guidance from Gale to ensure that your project fits your skill level).  Gale will provide the pattern properly sized for the project. Pattern will be picked & sized prior to start of class.   A materials fee of $26.00 applies.  This kit includes 1 lb. solder, 1 roll copper foil and a fid.  All other materials are at the expense of the student and will have been purchased prior to the first class.

Tools will be provided for your use.
